Las bujías ACCEL HP están hechas con un núcleo de cobre, que es un mejor conductor que el platino y el iridio. Ofrecen una chispa más fuerte, especialmente en aplicaciones de alto rendimiento donde hay altas presiones de combustión. El cobre disipa mucho mejor el calor que otros materiales, lo que disminuye la probabilidad de fallos de encendido. Las bujías ACCEL HP se pueden ajustar, lo que permite abrir la separación para exponer un núcleo de llama más grande o cerrarla si es necesario para aplicaciones de alta presión. Todas las bujías ACCEL HP tienen roscas laminadas a máquina, lo que permite un acoplamiento de rosca más preciso y una mejor retención del par.
